On Cincinnati Edition's weekly news review:

A third Cincinnati City Council member is arrested on federal bribery charges. P.G. Sittenfeld is also a candidate for mayor in next year's election.

Following the earlier arrest of Councilman Jeff Pastor, WCPO reporter Paula Christian recently asked council members whether they had ever solicited or accepted bribes, and Sittenfeld's office said no.

She joins us to talk about it.

The Brent Spence Bridge remains closed, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel: transportation officials are eyeing a reopening date close to Christmas.

And a Northern Kentucky mayor faces possible removal by council.

Enquirer reporter Julia Fair is here with those stories.

WVXU reporters Tana Weingartner, Jolene Almandarez, and Cory Sharber join the show with news about vaccine storage in Hamilton County, a COVID-19 warning from the Cincinnati mayor, and a development in the West End.

And WVXU media beat writer John Kiesewetter pans the film version of the popular book with local ties, Hillbilly Elegy. He is here to talk about why.

Michael Monks brings a broad range of experience to WVXU-FM as the host of Cincinnati Edition, Cincinnati Public Radio's weekday news and information talk show.
