If you live in Northern Kentucky and want to see Soledad O’Brien’s one-hour “Heroin USA” documentary filmed in Northern Kentucky, you’d better have Dish Network or DirecTV.

“Heroin USA: A Soledad O’Brien Special Report” airs 10 p.m. Sunday on the Al Jazeera America channel -- which is not carried by Cincinnati Bell Fioptics or by Time Warner’s Northern Kentucky franchise, the former Insight cable system.

“At this point, TWC does not offer Al Jazeera America in the former Insight areas,” says Michael Hogan, Time Warner spokesman.

The Al Jazeera America channel is available in Greater Cincinnati and Southwestern Ohio on Time Warner Channel 376. It’s also available throughout Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati on Dish Network Channel 216 and DirecTV Channel 347, according to the Al Jazeera America channel finder.

The Al Jazeera America site also offers video streaming, but it requires you to enter your cable, satellite or other “television service provider.”

As I reported in my Tuesday blog about the "Heroin USA" documentary, O’Brien’s crew came to Northern Kentucky to report on the nation’s heroin epidemic. She tells the story through three area residents: Sarah Kordenbrock of Covington; Olivia DeLand; and the late Mike Heffron, who died from a heroin overdose in 2013.

Here is a video clip of Heffron shooting up and talking about how his addiction could be fatal in early 2013.

Read more about the three people featured in her report and see more video in my Tuesday post.
