BB King special on the Blues!

This week on The Blues, at 11pm on Saturday, May 23, a tribute in honor of the great iconic blues man BB King, who passed away last week, May 14, at the age of 89.  This broadcast, hosted by Keb' Mo', is a PRI re-broadcast of their 2005 special, “Riding with the King: A Birthday Tribute to B.B. King."

At that time, B.B. was excited to be celebrating his 80th birthday. He'd just released a new record and completed his first vacation after fifty-seven years on the road. Along with music featured throughout the program, this offering includes insights from  Carlos Santana,  Koko Taylor, Buddy Guy, and John Mayall as well as jazz guitarist Pat Metheny.
