Republican Ohio Governor Jonn Kasich says President Trump was not invited to appear at Saturday's campaign rally in Delaware County by the GOP candidate involved.
Kasich made the comment to ABC News on Sunday.
Trump spoke at a rally for Republican 12th Congressional district hopeful Troy Balderson ahead of Tuesday's special election. Balderson is facing Democrat Danny O'Connor to fill the unexpired term of retired Republican Pat Tiberi. Kasich on Saturdaydefended basketball superstar LeBron James against a tweet Trump issued ahead of his apperance at the rally. First Lady Melania Trump also defended James but did not criticize her husband.
