Cincinnati Singer-Songwriter Has Music Featured In Netflix Series

Aziza Love

A local singer-songwriter has music featured in the Netflix series Deaf U. Aziza Love was uniquely positioned to offer her creative offerings to such a series that focuses on deaf and hard of hearing students at Gallaudet University.

Her mother encouraged Love to join her in taking sign language and deaf interpretation courses while her mother was working toward a certification. Meanwhile, with her own musical endeavors she has created a name for herself locally and beyond. She has a solo album, Phoenix Rising: Ashes to Ashes, and has appeared on stage alongside superstars like Earth Wind and Fire, Mary J. Blige and 2Chainz.

Aziza Love joins Cincinnati Edition to talk about her experience with the Netflix series, her music, and what she is working towards next.

Listen to Cincinnati Edition live at noon M-F. Audio for this segment will be uploaded after 4 p.m. ET.
