Findlay Market: the past (photo exhibit at the Public Library), present and future

Feb 12, 2015

Almost 50 years ago, while he was a student at the University of Cincinnati’'s College of Design, Architecture, Art & Planning, Don Nesbitt photographed Findlay Market for a class project. His photos, which captured a moment in time at the Cincinnati landmark, are now the basis of a current exhibit at the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County. “A Look Back: Findlay Market 1966” is an exhibit of black and white photographs that preserves the everyday life of Findlay Market in 1966. The photographs are on display in the Main Library Atrium through March 11. Joining us to discuss the exhibit, and the past, present and future of Findlay Market are photographer Don Nesbitt; Findlay Market Board member Mary Stagaman, executive director of Agenda 360; and, Karen Kahle, Corporation for Findlay Market communications and program director.

Don Nesbitt also has a book of Findlay Market photographs entitled Cincinnati's Findlay Market: A Photographic Journey, Past and Present.
