On Dec. 5, 2019, Cincinnati City Council Member Chris Seelback, the Ohio Justice and Policy Center, the Black Lawyers Association of Cincinnati in Roselawn, and Dj. J. Dough will hold an expungement clinic at the New Prospect Baptist Churchto help individuals navigate the process of sealing or clearing some non-violent felony records.

There are certain requirements that must be met and those attending will get the opportunity to meet with attorneys, paralegals and volunteers who are trained to help navigate the process of filing.

Council Member Chris Seelbach and Ohio Justice and Policy Center Attorney Alicia Miller join Cincinnati Edition to talk about the upcoming free clinic and how applying for expungement can help expand employment, education and housing opportunities for those who qualify.

Listen to Cincinnati Edition live at noon M-F. Audio for this segment will be uploaded after 4 p.m. ET.
