Some of the greatest biographies of America's most important people have been written by the likes of David McCullough, Jon Meacham, Ron Chernow, and Doris Kearns Goodwin, among others.
The new book, The American Story: Conversations with Master Historians, is a collection of deep talks about America, its leaders and how they shaped the country. Author David M. Rubenstein, the co-founder and executive chairman of the Carlyle Group and host of The David Rubenstein Show on PBS and Bloomberg TV, talks with those acclaimed biographers and others, like Bob Woodward. The book also features a special conversation with Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts.
Rubenstein joined Cincinnati Edition to talk about the new book and was interviewed by producer Ilyce Meckler.
Listen to Cincinnati Edition live at noon M-F. Audio for this segment will be uploaded after 4 p.m. ET.
