Public opinion polls have been largely unfavorable to President Donald Trump's handling of the coronavirus pandemic, while state governors are receiving high marks.

Meanwhile, other polls show former Vice President Joe Biden leading the president in head-to-head match-ups, even though President Trump is dominating media mentions and Biden is relegated to appearing online and on TV from his home.
But Biden also faces a challenge with an allegation that in the early 1990s he sexually assaulted former Senate staffer Tara Reade, leading to questions from Republicans about how Democrats respond to similar allegations against political opponents like Trump and Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
