WGUC-FM To Broadcast 'Opera In The Park' July 11

Classical music WGUC-FM will broadcast the Cincinnati Opera season premiere, Opera in the Park, live from Summit Park at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, July 11.

No free tickets remain for the opening night performance of the opera's open-air festival at Summit Park in Blue Ash.

Evans Mirageas, the Harry T. Wilks Artistic Director of the Cincinnati Opera, and Suzanne Bona, host of WGUC-FM's Sunday Baroque, will host the preview of the upcoming opera season. Performances from Tosca, Carmen and The Barber of Seville will be accompanied by Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra musicians.

The 2021 opera schedule:

Carmen: 8:30 p.m. on July 17, 22, 26 and 30.

Tosca: 8:30 p.m. on July 23, 27 and 31.

The Barber of Seville: 8:30 p.m. on July 24 and July 29.

Opera in the Park airs 7:30-9 p.m. July 11 on WGUC-FM (90.9), online at wguc.org, via WGUC's mobile app, or by asking your smart speaker to "play WGUC."
