The NFL is suspending Cincinnati Bengal DeQuin Evans for the first eight games of the season. The league says Evans violated its policy on performance enhancing substances.

Evans will be eligible to return to the roster Monday, October 28 following the team’s October 27 game against the New York Jets.

This is the second time Evans has been suspended for violating the policy, according to CBS Sports.

From Evans' bio:

A 2011 college free agent signee from the University of Kentucky, Evans looks for ’13 roster breakthrough after two seasons on Cincinnati practice squad ... Highly regarded in college for his quickness and “high motor” ... A DE in college, he opened with Bengals at LB but now is back at DE.

Heading into his third year with the team, Evans hasn't played in any regular season games.
