The 13th Annual Books By The Banks Cincinnati USA Book Festival will be held Saturday, October 26 the Duke Energy Convention Center in downtown Cincinnati. Along with more than 100 authors who will talk with patrons and sign copies of their books, there will be author panels and discussions; a kids zone and teen scene with a variety of activities and entertainment; sponsor tables; and an onsite bookstore from Joseph Beth Booksellers.Cincinnati Public Radio will have a table - stop by and say hi to the hosts and staff, sign-up to win a CD or other prize, and let us know what you think about our stations! Polly Campbell Explores City's Food History In New Book

From the origins of Graeter's Ice Cream and the city's famed chili (and all its varieties), to some of our most acclaimed chefs and restaurants, a new book explores the history of food in Cincinnati.

The author is a known expert on the subject: Polly Campbell, the longtime and recently retired food writer and critic for the Cincinnati Enquirer.

The book, Cincinnati Food: A History of Queen City Cuisine, offers a vast study of what we love to eat here. Whether it's a plate full of cinnamon-scented chili on spaghetti, or skillets frying up goetta, or other uniquely Cincinnati staples, Campbell's book will leave your mouth watering for a taste of home.

She joins Cincinnati Edition to talk about it.
