MLK Coalition asks: What's your dream?

Michael Keating

People remembering Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in Cincinnati Monday have a full day to do it.

The Martin Luther King Jr. Coalition and the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center is hosting the 39th annual King Legacy Awards Breakfast at the Freedom Center. During the 8:00a.m. breakfast six people will be honored for their leadership in strengthening the diversity of the community and for promoting the vision and legacy of Dr. King.

Participants will march to Fountain Square for an inter-faith prayer service. That will go from 11:00 to 11:15a.m.

After a march to Music Hall, hundreds will participate in the Celebration Commemorative Program at 12noon. Dr. Tonya Matthews is the keynote speaker. Her speech is entitled "I have a dream, what's your dream?" The award-winning MLK Coalition Corale will perform. Here is a video of last year's performance.

The Martin Luther King Coalition wants to know your dream. You can post on this blog by filling out the contact form, liking the coalition on Facebook or Tweeting @MLKingCoalition. It will remain up past Monday.
