The City of Cincinnati raises the legal age to buy tobacco products from 18 to 21. Patrick Duhaney is sworn-in as the permanent city manager of Cincinnati. Ohio legislators work to push several bills through the House and Senate, even those Governor Kasich is likely to veto.

Ohio Governor-elect Mike DeWine announces his senior staff and cabinet nominees as he prepares to take office in January. And though the rollout of Ohio's Medical Marijuana program is behind schedule, the first medical marijuana retail shop in the state could open before the end of the year.
