Extras Needed For Mickey Rourke-Janel Parrish Movie

Greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky Film Commission

Extras are needed for “Tiger,” the Mickey Rourke boxing movie which began filming Monday in Hamilton.

“Pretty Little Liars” actress Janel Parrish, who finished third on “Dancing With The Stars” a year ago, has been added to the cast, the Greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky Film Commission announced Tuesday.

The commission confirmed the story I broke Monday in my “Hollywood Heading To Hamilton Again” post,  that Oscar nominee Rourke was starring in the independent feature called “Tiger” shooting in Hamilton and Cincinnati.

Although auditions for extras were held at the Hamilton Film Office last week, the film commission included an appeal for more background actors. “Interested extras please email Becca Shahl at hamiltonmovie2015@gmail.com."

The film is scheduled to shoot three weeks in Hamilton and Cincinnati, says Kristen Erwin Schlotman, film commission executive director.

Parrish’s credits include “The Mysteries of Laura,” “Drop Dead Diva,” “Heroes,” “Bratz” and “The O.C.”  She was paired with Valentin Chmerkovskiy on “Dancing with the Stars” in fall 2014.

Read more about the film on my Monday blog.
