Local Journalists Produce New Ripley's Podcast

The new Ripley's Believe It or Notcast premieres June 11

Ripley's has been celebrating the strange and unusual for over a century. What started out as a cartoon about sports oddities called Champs and Chumps by LeRoy Robert Ripley in December, 1918, grew into an empire of museums (Ripley's calls them odditoreums), haunted adventures, waxworks, theaters, aquariums, books, radio and television shows.

Now, two local journalists have launched a podcast for Ripley's, the Ripley's Believe it or Notcast. Ryan Clark and Brent Donaldson premiered the podcast on June 11 by asking the question: What would happen if people actually captured Bigfoot or the Loch Ness Monster?

Joining Cincinnati Edition to discuss their new Ripley's Believe It or Notcast and the public's passion for bizarre and unusual stories are Notcast creators Brent Donaldson (@mms_am_brent), senior editor for Modern Machine Shop and Additive Manufacturing magazines, and Ryan Clark (@rhinoKSR), Xavier University digital content strategist; and WVXURadio and TV writer John Kiesewetter (@TVKiese).

Believe It or Notcast will be released every Tuesday, beginning June 11. It's available on iTunes, Spotfiy and other podcast platforms.

Listen to Cincinnati Edition live at noon M-F. Never miss an episode by subscribing to our podcast on your favorite provider. And if you have a chance, please rate, review and share with friends:
