California Firm Will Lead Library Facilities Master Plan

Dec 12, 2018

The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County is engaging the same firm the Dayton Metro Library engaged for it's recent renovation and expansion to lead a similar effort.

Group 4 Architecture, Research + Planning out of San Francisco is the choice to draft the library's new facilities master plan.

It's expected to take 12-18 months to craft.

In the meantime, work is already underway or starting soon at several branches including Price Hill, Walnut Hills and Madisonville.

Group 4 is the same firm that led the library's listening sessions and pre-planning efforts.

Cincinnati-based Design Impact will also be involved, leading future community feedback sessions.

Voters approved a one mill operating levy in May for repairs and operating expenses.
