WVXU is bringing you an old-school radio comedy play on Wednesday at 8 p.m., live on 91.7 FM.
O'Toole from Moscow aired just one time, back in 1955, and was never seen again. Penned by TV scribe Rod Serling, better known for his work as creator of the classic TV series The Twilight Zone, the script was tracked down by WVXU media beat writer John Kiesewetter.
The script was adapted for radio by Kiesewetter, and stars students from the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music (CCM). It is narrated by Serling's daughter, Anne.
The airing was supposed to coincide with the Cincinnati Reds' annual Opening Day celebrations, but due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, most sporting events have been canceled or postponed.
But, the show must go on.
