The Super Hero 5K, Redlegs Run, Pendleton Spring Fling and 3 Fest all take place this week and require road closures downtown. Here's what will be affected:
Friday, June 7
The Super Hero 5K happens Friday evening at 7 p.m., causing the following streets to close at 6:30 p.m:
- New Street between Broadway and Culvert Street
- Culvert Street between Reedy and Third streets
- Sentinel STreet between Fifth Street and Eggleston Avenue
- Fifth Street between Eggleston Avenue and Culvert Street
- Fourth Street between Eggleston Avenue and Culvert Street
- Eggleston Avenue southbound between Reedy Street and E. Pete Rose Way
- Third Street between Butler Street and Eggleston Avenue
- E. Pete Rose Way between Eggleston Avenue and Mehring Way
Streets will reopen after the run is complete, which is expected at around 9 p.m.
Saturday, June 8
The Redlegs Run, Pendleton Spring Fling and 3 Fest all take place on Saturday.
Beginning at 5 a.m., Mehring Way will be closed between Joe Nuxhall Way and Elm Street. It should re-open once the Redlegs Run concludes around noon.
The following will close for the Pendleton Spring Fling beginning at 7 a.m. and remain closed until about 7 p.m:
- E. 12th Street between Broadway and Pendleton Street
- Spring Street between E. 13th Street and Reading Road
The following will close at 7:30 a.m., also for the Redlegs Run, and remain closed until around noon:
- Eggleston Avenue southbound between Sentinel Street and E. Pete Rose Way
- Culvert Street between Fifth and Third streets
- Third Street between Butler Street and Eggleston Avenue
- E. Pete Rose Way between Eggleston Avenue and Johnny Bench Way
- Broadway south of Third Street
- Taylor Southgate Bridge
- Ramp at intersection of Main and Second Street
- Johnny Bench Way
- Joe Nuxhall Way
- Marian Spencer Way south of Second Street (local traffic only)
- Rosa Parks Street south of Second Street
- Race Street south of Second Street
- Elm Street south of Second Street
- Freedom Way between Elm Street and Joe Nuxhall Way
- Central Avenue south of W. Pete Rose Way
- W. Pete Rose Way between Gest Street and Central Avenue
- Gest Street southbound between Third Street and Mehring Way
- Mehring Way between Gest Street and E. Pete Rose Way
To make way for Three Points Urban Brewery's 3 Fest on Saturday, Broadway will closed to through traffic between Reading Road and E. 13th Street starting at 10 a.m. and remain closed until about midnight.
