Entrepreneurship is hailed as a way to reduce unemployment and preserve our competitive edge abroad.   But how does government work best to promote new businesses and keep them afloat, especially here in the U-S--the world’s largest economy? 

Politicians tend to celebrate such things as government-sponsored enterprise zones and business incubators. But in the large scheme of things, dry but important things such as bankruptcy law and property rights may be much more effective in supporting new entrepreneurs. On this edition of America Abroad we delve into these issues and compare our efforts to those around the world.
