Analysis Shows Streetcar Drew $1 Billion In Investments Near The Transit Line

The future of the Cincinnati streetcar's ridership opportunities appears to be uncertain now, but a recent analysis found that $1 billion in investments have taken place within a thousand feet of the streetcar line.

Real estate and planning firm Urban Fast Forward, located in Over-the-Rhine, looked at investment data dating back to 2012 when ground was broken on the streetcar line.

Senior Project Executive John Yung joins Cincinnati Edition to talk about the report, and will be joined by local transit activist John Schneider to discuss the future of the streetcar.

Listen to Cincinnati Edition live at noon M-F. Audio for this segment will be uploaded after 4 p.m. ET.
