Fox Sports Ohio digs deep in its vault for some memorable Reds games during the coronavirus pandemic baseball stoppage.
Tom Seaver's 1978 no-hitter against the Cardinals, Johnny Bench's dramatic home run on "Johnny Bench Night" in 1983, Pete Rose's record-breaking hit No. 4,192 from 1985 and the 1990 Reds clinching the National League Championship Series over the Pirates will air in primetime on Fox Sports Ohio.
More vintage Major League Baseball All-Star Games also will repeat – the 1965 and 1985 games in Minnesota, and the 1978 game in San Diego.
FSO also will air some 2019 impressive Reds' feats: Michael Lorenzen's historic September game in which he tied Babe Ruth's record for hitting a homer, earning the win and playing the field; the Reds scoring 17 runs against the Rockies in Coors Field; and a three home-run game by rookie Aristides Aquino in August.
The regional sports network also will repeat Jay Bruce's 2010 walk-off home run to clinch the pennant and all four games of the 1990 World Series (Sunday, June 7).

Monday, May 25, 11 a.m.: Cubs at Reds June 28, 2019 – Joey Votto goes 4-for-4 as Reds beat Cubs, 6-3.
Tuesday, May 26, noon: Cubs at Reds June 30, 2019 – Eugenio Suarez hits a three-run bomb – his 17th of the season – in the first inning, but Reds need to rally late to win 8-6.
Thursday, May 28, 8 p.m.: 1990 National League Championship Series Game 6, Pirates vs. Reds, at Riverfront Stadium – Reds advance to World Series when Danny Jackson, Norm Charlton and Randy Myers hold Pittsburgh to one hit to win 2-1, thanks to a great catch by Glenn Braggs in right field. (Repeats 11 a.m. Friday, May 29).
Friday, May 29, 8 p.m.: Cardinals vs. Reds June 16, 1978 at Riverfront Stadium – Tom Seaver pitches his only no-hitter, striking out three batters and walking three, in a 4-0 win caught by back-up catcher Don Werner. . The video is synced with the Reds radio broadcast by Marty Brennaman and Joe Nuxhall, and includes Nuxhall's postgame interview with Seaver. (Repeats noon Saturday, May 30.)
Saturday, May 30, 8 p.m.: Padres vs. Reds Sept. 11, 1985 – Pete Rose's historic hit No. 4,192 ignites a 30-minute celebration at Riverfront Stadium. (Repeats noon Sunday, May 31.)
Sunday, May 31, 8 p.m.: Astros at Reds Sept. 28, 2010 – Jay Bruce's walk-off home run clinches the NL Central Division. (Repeats noon Monday)
Wednesday, June 3, 8 p.m.: 1965 MLB All-Star Game at Metropolitan Stadium in Bloomington, Minn. –Future Reds pitcher Milt Pappas gives up home runs in the first to Willie Mays and Joe Torre, but the AL ties the score when Reds pitcher Jim Maloney serves up homers to Harmon Killebrew and Dick McAuliffe. The NL wins 6-5.
Thursday, June 4, noon: Reds at Rockies July 13, 2019 – Reds rock Colorado pitchers for 24 hits to win 17-9. Jared Hughes gets the win for pitching 1/3 inning after starter Tanner Roark gives up seven runs on 13 hits in 4-2/3 innings.
Thursday, June 4, 8 p.m.: 1985 MLB All-Star Game from Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minn. – The American League lost 6-1, despite Tigers manager Sparky Anderson having eight future Hall of Famers in his starting lineup: Rickey Henderson, George Brett, Eddie Murray, Cal Ripkin Jr., Dave Winfield, Jim Rice, Carlton Fisk and Jack Morris. Six future Hall of Famers played for the NL – Tony Gwynn, Ozzie Smith, Nolan Ryan, Goose Gosage, Ryne Sandberg and Tim Raines –plus Pete Rose, the Red's only representative.

: Cubs at Reds Aug. 10, 2019 – Aristides Aquino blasts three home runs to propel the Reds to a 10-1 win.
Friday, June 5, 8 p.m.: 1978 MLB All-Star Game from Jack Murphy Stadium in San Diego – The Big Red Machine was well represented in the NL's 7-3 win. Joe Morgan, Pete Rose, George Foster and Johnny Bench were voted starters, plus Dave Concepcion and Tom Seaver made the squad. (Bench and Seaver did not play.) Three triples were hit for the first time in All-Star Game history, including two by one player. You'll have to watch and see.
Saturday, June 6, noon: Phillies at Reds on Sept. 4, 2019 – Michael Lorenzen joins Babe Ruth as the only players to hit a home run, earn the win and play the field in the same game as Reds 8-5 win.
Saturday, June 6, 8 p.m.: Astros at Reds Sept. 17, 198 – On "Johnny Bench Night," the Reds future Hall of Famer hits his final home run and catches his last game at Riverfront Stadium in 4-3 loss.
Sunday, June 7, 11 a.m.-midnight: Repeat of 1990 World Series Game One (11 a.m.), Game Two (2 p.m.), Game Three (5:30 p.m.) and Game 4 (9 p.m.). See details of the games in my April 27 story here.
