D-Day: 70 Years Later

  

“Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen of the Allied Expeditionary Force! You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have striven these many months.”

So began General Dwight D. Eisenhower’s Order of the Day for the invasion of Normandy. Today marks the 70th anniversary of D-Day. Joining us to discuss the importance the invasion had to the war and America’s position on the world stage is Northern Kentucky University Professor of History Dr. Jeffrey WilliamsDr. Michael Turney, former chair of the Northern Kentucky University Communications Department; and WVXU’s Howard Wilkinson.
