'A Midsummers Night Dream' Airs 7 P.M. Sunday On WVXU

In A Midsummer Night’s Dream, William Shakespeare wrote that "the course of true love never did run smooth."

But from all accounts, the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company’s adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream did run smoothly when recorded for broadcast on WVXU at 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30.

Here's how Kevin Reynolds, Cincinnati Public Radio's community relations manager, cleverly announced the broadcast in a WVXU news release. It reminds me of another Shakespeare line from A Midsummer Night’s Dream:  "Take pains. Be perfect."

Commencing at the hour of 7 o'clock on the evening of Sunday, August 30, you'll lose yourself in this tale told by the amazing actors of Cincinnati Shakespeare Company's Free Shakespeare in the Park touring cast, with the direction and adaptation crafted by Jeremy Dubin.
