Recently, a curriculum that explores America's racist history has drawn fire from conservatives across the country and prompted legislation to keep it from being taught in public schools.
That's true in Ohio and Kentucky, where lawmakers have drafted bills seeking to ban what's called critical race theory (also known as CRT). But what is CRT? How do its supporters describe it? And is it actually being taught in local schools?
