It used to be a rare occurrence that a major Hollywood picture would choose to shoot in the Cincinnati area but in recent years the Queen City has become a Tinsel Town in its own right. Gone are the days of squealing about Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman driving across the Roebling Suspension Bridge.

Now huge stars like Robert Redford, Zac Efron and Nicole Kidman are more frequently spotted on our streets. Movies like The Old Man & the Gun and Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile garner big earnings and sales after shooting here.

So what has made our region such an important destination for the makers of motion pictures? Cincinnati Film Commission Executive Director Kristen Schlotman and Dayton Film Commission Executive Director Lisa Grigsby join Cincinnati Edition to discuss.
