During the school year, about eight out of ten kids are eligible for free and reduced school lunches; but each summer, tens of thousands of children in the Tri-State area are at risk for hunger.

Freestore Foodbank and Design Impact teamed up to create Culinary Camp, a program whose goal is to make summer food programs more interesting and interactive. They launched UnPack?d, pop-up picnics that bring food to various parks around Hamilton County where kids gather.

Here to talk about Culinary Camp and UnPack?d, and how they are making a difference in our area, are Social Innovation Specialists at Design Impact, Caitlin Behle and Michelle Stawicki, and President and CEO of FreestoreFoodbank, Kurt Reiber.
