The Easterseals' Prosperity for All is not the first program to address the individual needs of families working their way out of poverty. The Family Independence Initiative is another local model that invests directly in families. But Prosperity for All has been so successful after a two-year pilot, that the Cincinnati chapter of the Easterseals is expanding the program.

A $212,000 grant from the United Way means the program can now serve 50 families. Joining "Cincinnati Edition" to discuss programs that help families find a path out of poverty are Easterseals Prosperity for All Program Manager Brandi Lewis; Cincinnati State Technical and Community College Workforce and Development Center Director Cheryl Brackman; Family Independence Initiative Director Vashti Rutlege; and program participant Carla Belcher.
