Greater Cincinnati has experienced a dramatic rise in heroin abuse over the last few years, with devastating results to addicts, their families and to the community. Heroin is responsible for an increase in crime, overdoses, and the need for prevention and treatment programs.

Join us Thursday morning December 13 at 9:20, as we discuss the heroin epidemic and what local agencies are doing to fight it. Impact Cincinnati, on 91-7, WVXU. If you have questions for our panel, you can email them to impact@wvxu.org.

Our guests on Impact Cincinnati this week are Northern Kentucky Drug Strike Force Director William Mark, Christ Hospital Family Practice Physician Dr. Mike Kalfas, and Cincinnati Police Department Drug Task Force Commander, Sergeant Chris Conners.
