Buffett tailgating is best in "Fin-cinnati"

Parking lots across from Cincinnati's Riverbend Music Center swirled with music, grass skirts and parrothead decor as partygoers anticipated Tuesday's Jimmy Buffett concert with a tailgate party.

Tim and Kelly Howard, of Oswego NY, drove 12 hours Monday to attend the party and concert.

"Cincinnati is the tailgate capital of the Jimmy Buffett world," Tim Howard said.

Wes Wright of Huntington, West Virginia, drove his black fin-topped SUV to what he calls "Fin-cinnati" referring to Buffett's song "Fins."

Cheryl and Tim Wiseman of Louisville, Ky., have attended for more than 10 years because, as Cheryl said, "nobody else lets you tailgate like this."

Tyler Swick of Iowa City, Iowa, and Bryan Angel, of Walton, Ky. entertained the tailgate crowd by playing Jimmy Buffett's "Margaritaville" on steel drums. Swick is working on his Master's degree in music "so I can play steel drums with Jimmy Buffett."
