Locals know you can get some truly outstanding barbeque around here. But no matter how good it is, you can usually run into those folks who claim it'?s not as good as what they can make. Well, here?'s the chance to see who really does grill-up the best pork, beef or chicken. Cincinnati' first sanctioned Ohio State Championship Kansas City Barbeque Competition hits Sawyer Point on October 10 and 11. ?TheRiver Grill Before the Big Chill,? hosted by Cincinnati Parks and The Cincinnati Parks Foundation, will feature live entertainment, food, local brews, and some serious grilling, from both pro and backyard barbecuing teams. Here for a preview are River Grill event manager Ruthann Spears from the Cincinnati Park Board, and BBQ Ambassador for this year’s River Grill, Lonnie “Bubba” Smith, Jr., head cook and pit master for the Championship BBQ team, “Bubba Grills.”
