Vocalist June Christy begins this week's edition of the Swing show on Saturday, April 25th at 10pm. Her song, "You Came a Long Way from St. Louis" is followed by songs by Larry Clinton, Vic Damone, and Johnny Mercer's "Candy." Other songs heard in the first half of Swing with Bill Cartwright include the Andrew Sisters, Glenn Miller, and local favorite Rosemary Clooney.
"China Boy" by the Benny Goodman Trio starts off the second half of the program. You'll also hear from other vocalists like Helen Humes, Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra.
