Tamaya Dennard (non-incumbent)

Tamaya Dennard

Background: Works for Design Impact, a non-profit organization. Former aide to Council Member P.G. Sittenfeld. A graduate of Aiken High School, studied abroad in France and Spain. Holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and international business from the Carl H. Lindner School of Business at the University of Cincinnati. She is endorsed by the Cincinnati Democratic Committee and by the Charter Committee.

On the issues: She said she wants to see a city council that "puts aside its differences and works for the common good. I'm progressive; I'm a liberal, but if somebody has a good idea I don't care what party designation they have behind their name." She said the diversity of her support shows in that she is the only candidate endorsed by Our Revolution, an organization founded by Bernie Sanders, and was designated as one of nine candidates whose positions are "highly aligned" with the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber.
