"I Made It In NKY" Promotes Job Opportunities In The Local Manufacturing Sector

As the advanced manufacturing sector expands in Northern Kentucky there are good, well-paying jobs going unfilled. Local public education institutions, including our high schools, Gateway Community & Technical College, and Northern Kentucky University, are committed to preparing students for the sector. And a new campaign by the Advanced Manufacturing Workforce Development Coalition, I Made it in NKY,  aims to educate the public about the opportunities for jobs and careers. Joining us to look at the current opportunities presented by the manufacturing sector, and the new campaign, are Ed Ratterman, director of the Advanced Manufacturing Workforce Development Coalition of Northern Kentucky; Coalition Co-chair, Mike Vogt, Mazak Corporation vice president of human resources and general affairs; and Carla Landon, board chair of the Northern Kentucky Forum.

The next Northern Kentucky Forum, ?Made in NKY: Manufacturers Recruiting for High-Tech Career Pathways,? takes place September 14 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at Mazak Corporation. For information and to RSVP, click here.

The Northern Kentucky Forum is a partnership of the NKU Scripps Howard Center for Civic Engagement, Vision 2015 and Legacy.
