College Goal Sunday Is Coming Up To Help Parents & Students Complete The FAFSA Application

The U.S. Department of Education uses the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, to determine an individual?'s eligibility for federal student aid, including low-cost loans, grants and work-study programs. The FAFSA may also determine eligibility for state and school aid.

But the FAFSA includes more than 100 questions about income, finances and assets, and can overwhelm many students and parents. Those who decide not to complete the application may lose out on available financial support.

The Ohio Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators will present ?College Goal Sunday? to assist students in completing their FAFSA on February 14. UC Clermont College is participating in the statewide event. Joining us from UC Clermont College to discuss the importance of FAFSA and to offer advice on how to complete the application are Assistant Dean of Marketing, Communications and Recruiting, Mae Hanna; One Stop Student Services Director, Vivian Scott; and Associate Director of Student Recruitment, Blaine Kelley.

College Goal Sunday is from 2 - 4 p.m. at both UC Clermont and UC Blue Ash, along with many other locations throughout Ohio. To select and register at the site nearest to you, click here.

Free one-on-one FAFSA application assistance sessions are being offered by the Kenton County Public Library and TRIO Educational Opportunities Center at the Covington Branch Library Computer Lab.  Registration is required, for dates, times and to register, click here
