We Talk About Some Of Cincinnati's Most Iconic And Historic Restaurants

historic_restaurants_cover.jpg

Cincinnati is home to unique food and restaurants that stand the test of time. Through the years we have had a wide choice of dining options, from the Maisonette to The Wheel cafeteria, and many current restaurants boast a long and rich history, among them Arnold's, Izzy's, Scotti's, and Mecklenburg Gardens. And there is our chili. In his latest book, Historic Restaurants of Cincinnati: The Queen City?'s Tasty History, Dann Woellert explores the most iconic eateries, the German influence on Queen City food and what makes dining unique in Cincinnati.

In 2005, Maryanne Zeleznik came to 91.7 WVXU from WNKU where she served as News and Public Affairs Director for 20 years. At WVXU she is responsible for all news and public affairs programming, hosts Morning Edition Monday through Friday, and fills in to host Cincinnati Edition. As time allows, she covers daily news, produces local features, and contributes news stories to National Public Radio.
