Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine hospitalized but doing fine, aide says

UPDATE 11:00 3/8/14:  DeWine out of the hospital and on his way home to Cedarville said spokeswoman Lisa Hackley.  Here is the full release:

"Attorney General Mike DeWine left The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati this morning after staying overnight for observation following a bout of vertigo.  He is feeling much better and is on his way home to Cedarville.

"Mike and Fran would like to extend their thanks to the caring staff at The Christ Hospital, and to all who expressed their good wishes.

"He is expected to return to his normal schedule next week."

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine fell ill Friday during a speaking engagement in Cincinnati.

DeWine was scheduled to speak at the Final Friday luncheon Downtown.

Charlie Norman, DeWine’s regional director for southwest Ohio, said the attorney general “is fine; he is doing well. He fell ill and he was taken to Christ Hospital as a precaution.”

Earlier he spoke to children at The Good Shepherd Catholic Montessori School in Madison Place.
