Famed Cincinnati chef Jean-Robert de Cavel and Maître d’Hôtel Richard Brown are back with a new restaurant venture. The pair are opening Restaurant L in Great American Tower. The restaurant features seasonal French cuisine on a prix fixe menu prepared by Chef de Cuisine Brett Crowe. A three-course menu runs $89 and a seven -course menu is $125.

De Cavel calls the restaurant an upscale place to treat yourself.

"You try to make memories out of your experience'" he says. "That includes wonderful service, wonderful ambiance, wonderful music, everything surrounding you is something really precious and beautiful."

Restaurant L is only open for dinner right now. There is also a full service bar with nightly jazz piano.

Brown and de Cavel are well known for their work at the Maisonette, but de Cavel is tired of being asked about comparisons.

"It's a different era," he says. "Our wish is really to make the new generation and the older generation feel like what we are giving them today is what the Maisonette gave the customers and their guests for many decades in the past."
