Swing with Bill Cartwright: 1.17.15 show

This week's swing show on Saturday evening at 10pm on WVXU/WMUB starts off with "You're the Cream in My Coffee" by Ray Anthony.  As a teenager he had his own band in Cleveland, and at the age of 18, he was playing first trumpet with the Glenn Miller Orchestra.  The rest of the first half of the swing show includes songs by Sammy Davis, Jr.; Rosemary Clooney, and Johnny Mercer.  The second half of the program begins with June Christy performing "Better Luck Next Time" and is followed by other vocalists including Bobby Darin, Carmen McRae and Ella Fitzgerald.
