While all eyes in the fashion industry were recently focused on New York, London and Milan as each city held its Fashion Week, you don?'t have to look farther than Greater Cincinnati to see a vibrant and growing fashion industry. Over the last decade, local designers and clothing stylists have been finding success selling their lines both here and nationally. Here to take a look at the local fashion industry are Jean Reisinger Coggan, director of Community Relations and Internal Communication for Macy?s, Inc.; and from the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (DAAP), professor of Fashion Design Margie Voelker-Ferrier, and Laurie Lisk Wilson, associate director for Non-Academic Programming.
UC;?s DAAP is launching ?Style Studies? in October, a fashion market trip to New York focused on the inner-workings of the fashion industry.
