Thomas More College's Mexican-U.S. Border States Program
Ciudad Juárez was once known as Mexico?'s deadliest city, while its cross-border neighbor, El Paso, Texas, was considered the safest city in America. Juárez is now not quite so dangerous, thanks to the work and cooperation of law enforcement on both sides of the Rio Grande.
Thomas More College Associate Professor Dr. James Camp focuses on the two cities in his Mexican-U.S. Border Studies Program. He has also taken groups of students to the area to work with local residents. Dr. Camp and former Border Studies student Emilee Buchannan talk about the history and culture along the border in El Paso and Juárez.
