In 2016, Renée Elise Goldsberry found herself lauded with accolades, including the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical, for her originating role as Angelica Schuyler in the Broadway hit Hamilton. But her journey neither starts, nor ends there.

Longtime Broadway fans will also recognize her from starring roles in The Lion King, The Color Purple and Rent. Although her career finds her currently exploring her talent on screen in TV and film, she has found time to tour the country performing a repertoire of pieces from her stage roles as well as pop selections from the likes of Aretha Franklin and Bob Dylan. A stop on this tour kicks off the Cincinnati Pops 2019-2020 season as she performs with them at Music Hall, Sept. 13, 14 and 15.

Joining Cincinnati Edition to discuss this weekend's concerts and some of her favorite career roles is vocalist and actress Renée Elise Goldsberry.

Listen to Cincinnati Edition live at noon M-F. Audio for this segment will be uploaded after 4 p.m. ET.
