We get an update on the Taking Root effort to plant 2 million trees by 2020

The Taking Root campaign, started in 2013 to address the historic loss of our region?'s tree canopy by planting trees and better managing our local forests, is holding its second annual Tree Summit on January 31. Here to talk about how far along the effort is in reaching its goal to plant two million trees by 2020, and to provide a preview of the Great Tree Summit 2015 are Brewster Rhoads, executive director of Green Umbrella Regional Sustainability Alliance; Jennifer Gulick, senior Urban Forestry consultant with the Davey Resource Group and Taking Root co-chair; and Scott Beuerlein, Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden horticulturist and chairman of Taking Root.
