The Cincinnati Opera and UC’s College Conservatory of Music Opera Department have announced that Great Scott, a new opera with music by Jake Heggie (Dead Man Walking; Moby Dick) and libretto by Tony Award-winning playwright Terrence McNally (Ragtime; Kiss of the Spider Woman) has been selected for their Opera Fusion New Works residency this year. To discuss this opera and the upcoming residency with our Anne Arenstein are Heggie, McNally and Tony Award-winning director Jack O’Brien (Hairspray; Henry IV)
