Oscar winners Casey Affleck, Robert Redford and Cissy Spacek will be in Bethel Tuesday to start filming "The Old Man and The Gun."

Scenes will be filmed at a gas station and the Midway Theater, Mayor Alan Ausman told the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Ohio 125 will be closed between North Main and North Charity Streets 4-11 p.m. Tuesday in the eastern Clermont County village, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

Producers in January scouted Southwestern Ohio locations for the film, based on a true story, about a detective (Affleck, 2017 Oscar-winner for "Manchester by the Sea") pursuing aging bank robber Forrest Tucker (Redford), who broke out of prison 18 times.

Director David Lowery ("Pete's Dragon") will be filming here most of April, according to information released last month during an open casting call for extras.

"The Old Man and The Gun" also will film at the Newport's Heritage Bank on Monmouth Street April 26, says the River City News. The street will be closed for 12 hours that day, according to a Newport city official.  The movie will be set in the 1960s and '70s.

Variety says the script "retraces Forrest's twilight years, from his audacious escape from San Quentin at the age of 70 to an unprecedented string of heists that confounds authorities and enchants the public. Wrapped up in this chase are a detective (Affleck) who becomes captivated with Forrest's commitment to his craft and a woman who loves him in spite of his chosen profession."

Redford, 80, won the 1981 Academy Award for best director for "Ordinary People." He was presented an honorary award in 2002 for his career as an actor, producer, creator of the Sundance Film Festival and his support for independent filmmakers.

Spacek won the best actress Oscar in 1991 for her portrayal of country singer Loretta Lynn in "Coal Miner's Daughter."

The cast includes Danny Glover ("Lethal Weapon," "The Color Purple"), Elisabeth Moss ("Mad Men"), Tiki Sumpter ("Southside with You," "The Game," "Ride Along") and singer Tom Waits, according to the International Movie Database.
